Kiev flea market shopping
Finally, flea market religion reached Kiev. We do have people selling Soviet time stuff and old coins in Andrew's descent, second hand stores on the outskirts, but nothing like Brick Lane Flea Market in London where you can get D&G skirt and antique chairs for the cost of a bill in a cafe. I was excited to visit first Kiev Flea market Festival that is supposed to be repeated every month from now on.
LOCATION
Locals are already used to visiting Food Festival in Art Platform (old factory rebuilt into lovely artistic, startup, festival place). You can get there by taking subway to Lisova station and then ask people where is Darinok (local market). The entrance to Art platform is right at the end of the parking lot. Map
ENTRANCE
Entry ticket for this weekend was 50 uah a day (2$). You can get it at the entrance or buy online in advance with a discount - 40 uah (less than 2$).
SHOPPING
I was surprised by the market size. First two raws were occupied with vendors offering pre-owned sunglasses, magazines, old records, toys, fur coats, brand bags, books etc. By the way, you can get your place in next markets for smth like 10$. You just need to register on a Kurazh Bazar Facebook page. All raised funds go to Charity Foundation Tabletochki, which helps kids with cancer: http://www.tabletochki.org/en.
Second half of bazar is given to upraising ukrainian cloth, accessories and home decor brands.

Smell of rain, baby, new book, sambucca, rye bread etc. From now you can smell it everywhere you like: home, shower or even your skin. My choice is watermelon lollipop.

CROWD
It has been very busy market: pop stars, journalists, fashionistas. What can I say - crowd is awesome. And even if shopping is not your habit - stop by, dj beats and friendly atmosphere is guaranteed.
FOOD TRUCKS
We felt so hungry after massive shopping. Just in front of shopping area you can find many street food trucks. Borschman caught our eye first. Vegetable noodles were pretty tasty, but hosper banana is something I would definitely repeat next time! Baked fruit with marshmallow, chocolate and cream is an absolute must-eat in the platform.
SUMMARY
I see Kurazh Bazar as a nice tradition which combines charity, shopping and promoting ukrainian startups in one platform. So here are the next dates we go shopping:
