The Chernobyl disaster that occurred on 26 April 1986 was the worst nuclear power plant accident in history in terms of cost and casualties. This once-in-a-lifetime tour will take you inside the exclusion zone, a 30-kilometer area surrounding Nuclear Reactor #4 where radiation levels are still high and will make the area unsafe for human life for another 20,000 years (note: radiation exposure during the tour is limited to levels deemed safe by officials and is constantly monitored).
You will also see Pripyat, the city that housed the plant's workers and their families, and witness it as it was frozen in time following a delayed evacuation and as it exists today as a haunting ghost town. This is a poignant and touching tour that you will remember forever.
